When a teenager is murdered in a near-future farm commune Abram Harrin is tasked with discovering the killer.  The Boxridge Table, as the commune is known, struggles against plagues of giant insects while maintaining fragile alliances with other communes and with local law enforcement.  Abram's investigation will push him to confront his own past and see how far he will go for his family.
